okay all, my last thread was a month or two ago and was a huge success into the exploration of the dead's pass time, jamming. now, for the opposite end of the spectrum. i am curious as to some favorite or opinion of best vocal performances by the guys. im not talking about 'yeah, pig was great on american beauty'. i mean, for example the Bertha's of the late sixties early seventies.... jerry has that higher tone to his voice that is just perfect. or the half step from oct 20 of 74, once again higher angelic voice. another that i remember was an earlier playin' where bobby says the chorus similar to " play heyin in the band... day heybreak on land". i try to stay away from 80s and 90s shows as much as possible because it sounds to me like jerry's vocals suffered immensly. alright, so anyone that sees this, suggestions of any of the band members really good vocaal performances. please and thank you all once more. this site has single handedly saved my life and my day on numerous occasions... thank you all who are involved.

Augusta 10/12/84; 2nd set, especially cold rain, playin'/ ujb reprise> morning dew. jerry sounds like an angel to me, no less though it happens to be 1984.

While the 80's and 90's may not have been his best years, I just listened to the 2/21/95 Salt Lake City show and he just nails Liberty. Also a pretty soulful Visions of Johana. Keep your mind and ears open to what he can do. I'm having fun doing a Jerry in reverse now from latest shows back to early stuff. This way his voice keeps getting better! The things we do...

thanks all for the contributions. i was looking more specifically for 60s and 70s shows. no offense to the 80s heads... and believe me, i know there are a ton, but i just get annoyed when i listen to a lot of 80s stuff. the 72 baby blue... ha... was pretty dead on. if any other shows/songs to add let me know. please and thank you.
